Program Structure

Roustabout/ Roughneck is the entry level position while starting a career in the drilling/ oilfield industry. This Roustabout training is a certification course for anyone interested to work in the oilfield. While hiring freshers, leading oilfield drilling and service companies who operate onshore/ offshore rigs prefer candidates having relevant certification in the subject. This training provides candidates with knowledge of technical standards and safety policies including HSE requirements. This certification course covers various topics including but not limited to ‘introduction to oilfield and drilling operations’, ‘manual handling’, ‘work safety’ and ‘working at heights’

After successful completion of this course, the candidates will be able to perform tasks of roughneck/ roustabout and will have gained knowledge on operational risks, emergency procedures, cargo handling, signs and work safety practices as well as valuable information regarding life on board the rig and teamwork.

Duration – 15 days (only weekdays) – 120 hours
